Fatou Bintou Diallo

Fatoumata Binta Diallo is a Guinean entrepreneur and business leader active in the construction, property, community development and women’s empowerment sectors. With over 20 years’ experience, she has been the founder and Managing Director of ALPHA BTP since 2004, a company operating in Guinea and Senegal.

She began her career at TOTAL Guinea (2002–2004) as an assistant to the works manager, where she drew up plans, prepared tender documents and supervised the execution of construction projects. She went on to work at TRANS AFRICA Guinea (2004–2005) as logistics manager, overseeing the fleets of lorries for domestic and cross-border transport. In 2005, she became Managing Director of TRANS INTER AFRIQUE (formerly Trans Africa Guinea), a role she held until 2013, overseeing administrative, financial and contractual management.

Through ALPHA BTP, she oversees the development of major infrastructure projects: more than 100 schools and latrines in rural areas of Guinea and more than 200 social housing units in Senegal. She enrolled the company in the World Bank’s Business Edge programme, set up a QHSEC department compliant with international standards, negotiated major contracts with mining groups (RIO TINTO, GAC, CBG) and expanded the company’s operations internationally.

In 2021, she also founded SCI ALKAZAYE, which specialises in property development projects, and helped to develop programmes as part of the Emerging Senegal Plan (PSE). In 2023, she developed ALPHA BTP’s CSR programme by supporting organisations such as KITAMBAA, La MAISON DU FILS and the CCA.

Committed to social issues and development, Fatoumata Binta is Executive Secretary of KITAMBAA, Treasurer of the La Maison du Fils orphanage, and an active participant in IGD and IFC forums and various international panels. In 2022, she received the Platinum Award of Excellence in Leadership in New York, presented by 1000 Shades of Women International.

It is a shareholder in major companies in Guinea, namely SCF and SAVONNERIE ALPHA. Then, in 2023, it became a shareholder in DIAMA BANK Guinea Conakry, a new bank wholly owned by Guineans.

She holds a scientific Baccalaureate and a BTS in Construction (France), and trained as a site manager at ESTP Paris; she also holds several qualifications in management, QHSEC, and property development. She is fluent in French and speaks English, Fulani and Wolof, and enjoys reading, sport, cinema and volunteering.
