About
Kitambaa, which symbolises and evokes dignity in Swahili, aims to provide young girls and women of childbearing age in Africa with a washable sanitary pad that meets their protection needs, enabling them to participate equally in national and continental development, by mitigating the disruption caused to their education and lives by their periods, the lack of access to disposable sanitary products, and the lack of adequate infrastructure.
